Football is a replacement for politics. The masses need to be able to pick sides and have some sort of a team to play for and the powers-that-be would much rather have people all worked up about football than about the important stuff. Back in the seventies almost all newspapers got rid of the politics section and replaced it with the sports section just so we would all be uninformed about politics, and it seems to have worked out quite well for them. Go Team ! !

It might be the best state ever if Chris Christie left it or get defeated in the November Election

I like your sentiment. search youtube for: Mark Dice superbowl has been cancelled.
Listen to his amazing advice to dispense with the hero worship and READ A BOOK. he makes fun of the “we won!!” idiots who are diabetic and overweight but who claim to have been a part of the victory. He says we should be more aware what is happening in local politics instead of the favorite player’s statistics.

Sweet. Atlanta should take note if they EVER want to host a Super Bowl. Get the public transit correct and you can do it!
