Baltimore Ravens – Super Bowl XXXV Ring

Some cool Super Bowl 52 images:

How this page came to be here

What follows is a from the archive that reached the Game Day desk and stayed on the shelf; the text below is the filing itself, not a summary of it.

The record is dated 2016, and 80 other filings here share that year with it.

Game Day holds 31 entries in all, and this is one of them.

No single edition of the game owns this entry, so it is filed by section rather than by the year of the game.

Read it as a record of what was being said at the time, not as advice about anything happening now.

This address is the one the entry was published under. Rebuilding the site around the old addresses was the point, not an afterthought.

Below the text you will find the records nearest this one by date; reading them together gives the week rather than the moment.

The game-day desk covers the match itself and the hours around it: previews, the week of build-up, and whatever the teams and the broadcast were doing while the city filled up.

Figures quoted inside the text are the figures the original filing used, and we have not recalculated them.

Image of the Baltimore Raven’s Super Bowl Ring from the 2000 Season Championship. This Sunday we are hoping the Ravens wil bring add a new one to this collection.

Photo was taken at the NFL Experience during Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.

The edition ladder

Edition	Years	Named most often	Stories
XLV	2016	Texas	5
XLVIII	2013–2016	New York	18
XLIX	2014	Arizona	6
50	2015–2016	San Francisco	22
LI	2016–2017	Texas	49
LII	2016–2017	Minnesota	15

Years are the years our own coverage of that edition was filed, not the date of the game. The place column is the geographic name that comes up most often inside those same stories.
