Where this sits in the ledger

The item below was filed to Host Cities as a preview, and we keep the original wording because the wording is part of what the record shows.

The record is dated 2016, and 80 other filings here share that year with it.

The Host Cities section runs to 26 filings, of which this is one.

Nothing in the entry ties it to a particular edition, and we did not want to assign one on a guess.

The value of the page is that it has not been tidied up. What it got wrong when it was written, it still gets wrong.

We kept the original address when the site was rebuilt, which means anything that linked to this entry years ago still reaches it.

At the bottom of the page we list the filings closest to this one in time, which is usually the fastest way into the rest of the section.

The host-city file is about the town that drew the game — the preparation, the week itself, and the bill that arrived once everyone had gone home.

Figures quoted inside the text are the figures the original filing used, and we have not recalculated them.
