Sodexo Steelers Lunch

Sep 3, 2016

Check out these Super Bowl Texas images: Part 1 of this run, filed Sep 3, 2016.

How this page came to be here

What follows is a dispatch that reached the Game Day desk and stayed on the shelf; the text below is the filing itself, not a summary of it.

The record is dated 2016, and 80 other filings here share that year with it.

Across the site we keep 323 pages, 31 of them under Game Day.

No single edition of the game owns this entry, so it is filed by section rather than by the year of the game.

It is kept for the record. Where it names people, places or fixtures, those were the ones in front of the desk at the time.

This address is the one the entry was published under. Rebuilding the site around the old addresses was the point, not an afterthought.

The foot of the page carries the neighbouring filings by date. They are not related by subject, only by when they landed.

The game-day desk covers the match itself and the hours around it: previews, the week of build-up, and whatever the teams and the broadcast were doing while the city filled up.

The text keeps its original claims. We would rather show what was believed at the time than quietly replace it.

Sodexo was proud to have had opportunity to feed the Pittsburgh Steelers in the days leading up to the Super Bowl. It was so exciting when the players and coaches joked, laughed, and posed for pictures with our great Sodexo employees at Texas Christian University. We made sure they had delicious and nutritious offerings at every turn, including Steeler Smoothies!
