Super Bowl — part 1

Jun 2, 2016

A few nice Super Bowl TX images I found: Part 1 of this run, filed Jun 2, 2016.

How this page came to be here

This is an archive page. The dispatch under it belongs to Game Day and stands as it stood when the desk closed on it.

Its year is 2016, and the shelf holds 80 items carrying the same one.

Across the site we keep 323 pages, 31 of them under Game Day.

No single edition of the game owns this entry, so it is filed by section rather than by the year of the game.

It is kept for the record. Where it names people, places or fixtures, those were the ones in front of the desk at the time.

This address is the one the entry was published under. Rebuilding the site around the old addresses was the point, not an afterthought.

The nearest entries by date are listed at the foot of this page. They are what the desk was handling either side of this one.

What lands in game day is the football part of the week — form, fixtures, the build-up and the noise the networks make while the city waits for kick-off.

Names, prices and fixtures inside the text are as first written. Where the world has moved on, the page has not.
